Hello, kids. Here's some news for you. First of all the compilation thing I talked about in the last news update was released in late September by Violent Journey Records. More info about the compilation HERE.

Now something about the second Spirit Disease album. We will start recording on 01 November and we expect everything to be recorded, mixed & mastered by the end of the month. This means that you most likely will get to hear some new SD shit in December already - one new song, I suppose. We'll think about that later. Anyway, after everything's in the can we will start searching for a new record deal, and IF we get lucky and get a new deal the album will be released sometime in 2011. As soon as possible anyway. These are the songs we will record:

    We have something like ten or eleven songs right now. That may be enough for the next album... or not. Let's see how things go. Anyway, all I can really say at the moment is that this album will be better than the previous one. But isn't that what all bands say? Right. Anyway, you'll get to hear more details later.

    There's yet another compilation album coming out later this year with a Spirit Disease song (from Spawn Of Satan single/EP/demo/whatever it fucking is). More info about that shit when we know more.

    It's oh so quiet... but believe me - we are rehearsing and writing new shit. It's still a few months before we enter the good old D-Studio and record the next album. But that's in November and we have plenty of work ahead us this summer/fall.

    It seems that SD will actually be playing more than one gig this year unlike I wrote in the last news update. This Saturday (April 17) we will play at Dark Side Club, Helsinki with Master (USA) + two other local bands. It's an honor to share the stage with one of the very first Death Metal bands ever.

    Most likely the only gig that Spirit Disease will play this year will be played on May 22 in Helsinki. More info here... so if you want to catch us live and hear some of the songs we've been writing for album #2, this is the chance.

    Spirit Disease will record the follow-up to Annihilation in November 2010 - the studio is already booked. Yes, you read right: it will be recorded in November. There's several reasons why it will be recorded only then and not NOW or tomorrow or something. Anyway, if everything goes according to our plan, Spirit Disease album #2 should be released in early 2011.

    Hänninen just joined a band called Brymir. Check them out. He will not be leaving SD or anything - he will be just playing in two bands from now on.

    It's exactly one year or 365 days since 13 February 2009 - back then we announced that mister Hänninen is the new Spirit Disease drummer. Since he's still hanging around and playing with us I guess it's pretty safe to say that we have found a stable lineup for the band. Great. Now if we could only get our asses to a studio and record the next album. Late 2010 sounds like a nice time for that.

    There will most likely be a possibility to see SD live in May. At least that's the plan we have now and there's actually something going on "behind the scenes". More details later when things have been confirmed. Before the SD date(s) some of you may get a chance to see mister Koskinen live in April with a certain dark metal band featuring a former SD member on vocals. No names mentioned, of course... As far as I know there will be three gigs - one in Estonia, two in Finland. I might be wrong too. It's just a rumor, though. ;)

    Tuberculosis is celebrating the 10 year anniversary of his other band Witheria with a special gig in Helsinki - get yer ass there if you're interested. Expect all sorts of special stuff - and expect a third Witheria album sometime in the future. By the way - Tuberculosis appears on the just released debut album of Nowen - he sings one of the songs on it, so buy the album if you're interested. It's a good album by a good band. Check it out...

    Hello. It's been about five months since the last news update. It might be because not much has happened and because it's easier to just write some crap to our Facebook page. Anyway, we are currently writing new songs and will start rehearsing them within a few weeks... I guess. We haven't rehearsed at all for a while now. There's a reason for that: a baby boy. His proud father is kept busy with diapers & milk and all that crap that comes with the "job". We will continue rehearsing as soon as possible, though. We really have to finally get the fucking second album done. Seriously.
